Mother and son

Quick doodle I made last night of Askari and his mother, Chuki.

Chuki is loosely based of one of the lionesses that got beaten up in the final battle between the outsiders and
the pridelanders in the second movie.

Chuki’s is a bitter lioness who had many clashes with the outsiders in the past and she got most of her scars from those encounters.
Therefore, she wasn’t happy at all when the outsiders was accepted into their pride. She had no choice but to tolerate them if she wanted to remain in the pride. But in her opinion, no former outsiders can ever be trusted.

When the war is over, Chuki finds herself restless as she no longer had any enemies to fight. And when hostile animals actually did appear it was mostly handled by the lion guard. Seeking a new purposes, she decides to try motherhood and conceives Askari with a bypassing rogue.

Chuki had hoped for a strong, noble and brave son that would grow up to be a fine warrior and pride lion. Her wish was half-granted.
Askari was indeed strong and brave, but not in the way Chuki would have liked. He was reckless and wild. He never seemed to think twice before acting and would seek thrills in idiotic ways that caused her all sorts of trouble.

She is not fond at all of Askari's close friendship with Vizuri and it's one of their biggest disagreements (along with a lot of other things). Since Amani and Vizuri are both descendants of Zira and she would prefer if her son had nothing to do with either of them. She can't openly forbid Askari to socialize with them without getting on the bad side with the royal family. But she still do what she can to prevent them from spending too much time together. However, her efforts don't seem to do much good since Askari still don't care what his mother thinks.

While her and Askari's relationship are stained with a lot of disagreements, Chuki still loves her son unconditionally and would gladly give her own life for him if it came down to it.   

I don't think I'll bother doing a proper character sheet for Chuki since she barely has a role in the story, but is more of a bonus character.
